This year, Providence’s annual holiday tradition will take place over two days and feature a wealth of activities for all to enjoy including two tree lighting ceremonies, world champion figure skating demonstrations, special giveaways, live performances, an artist marketplace and so much more!

Mayor Jorge Elorza and the Department of Art, Culture + Tourism are holding the 2017 PVD Winter Lights Market and Tree Lighting –  produced by the City of Providence and Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy!

And of course, all of your favorite local shops and restaurants will be open for business, so stop by and take another big chunk out of that holiday shopping list.

Illuminated Public Art pieces include:
“Vescia Piscis”, an illuminated archway by Kristina Brown
“Glow”, an interactive installation of illuminated cubes by Work-Shop Design Studio
“Snowy Flakes” public art stencil installation by Carrie Hyde + volunteers sponsored by Partnership for Providence Parks
Linda White’s Imagination Play Project, sponsored by Partnership for Providence Parks
