Golden Glamour exhibit at the RISD Museum
The costume and textile wing at the RISD Museum is exhibiting Golden Glamour, a gorgeous collection of garments from the estate of American philanthropist and Rhode Island native, Edith Stuyvesant Vanderbilt Gerry.Â The installation includes pieces from the 1920s â€“ 1930s and pieces from some of Europe’s best known fashion houses.
Spring Festivals & Events
For the third year in a row, Providence based The Lady Project hosts their annual The Lady Project Summit on April 18 at The Vets. The Great International Spring Beer Festival takes place on April 25th at the Convention Center and the fourth-annual, all-local Eat Drink RI Festival kicks off on April 30th and has food focused events happening for 4 days straight.
A Night at PPAC
April has an impressive line up of performances at Providence Performing Arts Center. Comedian Lewis Black will be performing, as well as John Mellencamp, Frankie Valli, Shen Yun and the Broadway production of Dirty Dancing. Make a night of it and get dinner before a show. Opening of Red Fin Crudo + Kitchen
The newest restaurant in the city is set to open in the Biltmore Garage this month. Keep checking the blog, we’ll let you know opening night as soon as we hear.
