If you’ve read our piece on how Frankie Cecchinelli from Figidini creates the perfect dough for his Neapolitan Pizza, you won’t be surprised that rigorous quality control takes precedence over late night pizza cravings. I.E. no, you cannot order a saucy margherita to-go so you can stay in your pajamas all night. Unless you order a Streetza.
How does one describe a Streetza from Figidini? It might actually be beyond definition. If one had to put words to it, it’s basically one of Figidini’s gorgeous pies, folded up into a neat pocket. This pocket allows you to slowly rip off the crust, and dip into the center to get at some tangy red sauce and creamy cheese.
It is pretty much a perfect meal during one of Providence’s many summer festivals, or even for Movies on The Block. Try it this week before heading over to Grant’s Block for PLANET EARTH: Jungles and Deep Oceans!
