Ask Eno: Unusual shelving

Dear Eno,

Where did your unusual shelving come from?

– Curious Customers

 Dear Curious Customers,

Besides our selection, most guests in our shop take note of our unusual shelves!

They are indeed genuine antiques, but they were not part of the Peerless building until ENO.  They originally belonged to the Lackawanna County Courthouse in Pennsylvania where they were used for books and as filing cabinets.  When the courthouse digitized their files and archives, they no longer had need for these beautiful shelves.  If  you take a look at our Spanish wine section, you’ll notice their old mailboxes are here too – still labeled with their staff’s names!

Aubrie Talarico is part of Eno’s team that answers your toughest questions or curiosities about wine, beer, spirits, sake, and cider. Email questions to and read the answers in Eno’s E-newsletter!
