Aurora will be closing at the end of October. As they fill up the last of their days with fabulous, community oriented programming, this will be the last show of the Future Monday Series. Make it count, and get down there to support United Way of Rhode Island and Hasbro Summer Learning Program!
This is the last Future Monday at Aurora. Come on down and celebrate!
AUGUST WILL BENEFIT:
What does summer learning mean to Rhode Island’s future? It means educating the Ocean State’s next generation of community leaders, business owners, and school teachers.
Students can lose as much as two months of math and reading skills over the summer, but students who participated in last year’s HSLI averaged gains of 30% in math and 22% in reading. HSLI’s goal is to abolish summer learning loss for 1,100 young Rhode Islanders using a service learning-oriented, experiential curriculum with real-world applications.
ALL FUTURE MONDAY SHOWS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
So how does it work???
Aurora provides a stipend to the performing artists, and a percentage of bar proceeds are donated to the benefit organization. Also available is a donation box for folks who want to be superstars and give more to the cause.

“The songs on ‘As Ever,’ Gemma’s first record, are quiet, alert and beautiful: dance music, party music, but of a seriously adult kind.”
