We’re back with the iconic Rock and Roll Yard Sale to kick off the outdoor event season in downtown Providence, RI!

InDowncity (that’s us!) and the folks over at Rock N Roll Yard Sale are collaborating once again for a free, fun, family-friendly event on the streets of our capital city. We are very much looking forward to having the InDowncity x Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale take place outdoors on Saturday, May 4 from 12-6 p.m. Join us for a variety of festivities on Westminster Street (between Eddy Street and Mathewson Street), as well as on Union Street (between Weybosset Street and Westminster Street).

ABOUT THE EVENT

Make sure to bring a hearty appetite and maybe a sturdy tote bag, too: the Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale includes over 30 vinyl, vintage, and handmade goods vendors, local food trucks, beer and cocktail vendors, pop-ups at local shops, and music from Studebaker Hawk. And something for the kiddos: we’re excited to have Art on the Spot at the event for face painting!

Founded in 2008, InDowncity is the organizer behind numerous memorable events, including the Providence Art Festival, Movies on the Block, Open Air Saturdays, Celebrate Downcity, and more. The Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale–founded in 2003 by Chris and Jennifer Daltry–has partnered with InDowncity previously on a number of events.

“This year’s event marks a special milestone for the teams at InDowncity and Cornish Associates,” says Joanna Levitt, Director of Commercial Leasing and Marketing for Cornish Associates, “as we will not only be celebrating the return of our partnership with the Daltry’s and their Rock and Roll Yard Sale, but we will also be hosting our first event in the newly renovated Grant’s Block Park.”

FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENDORS

The event will showcase a variety of local food and drink vendors. Just to give you a taste, local favorites Anna’s Vesuviano, Wiener Wagon, Ming’s, Cultro, and La Costa Lobsters and Tacos will be joining us at the Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale. We’re also excited to have Ming’s Bu’s Tap Trailer, The Malted Barley, Trinity Brewhouse, and Durk’s Bar-B-Q slinging frozen margaritas, mixed drinks, and more. Restaurants along the event footprint will also serve special menus and host pop-ups. We’ll announce more food and beverage vendors, so stay tuned.

Whether you’re in the mood to visit a downtown restaurant or café (Small Point Cafe, Amaryllis, Oberlin, Gift Horse, and Sura are all along the event footprint), or you’re looking to explore the festival street vendors, there’s something for everyone to fuel the tank.

MARKETPLACE VENDORS

The marketplace will include a robust lineup of local vendors curated by our friends over at Rock and Roll Yard Sale. Over 35 vendors will offer a selection of vinyl, vintage, handmade goods, and more. (We also recommend popping into the small businesses located on Westminster Street, too: Craftland, Symposium Books, Queen of Hearts and Modern Love, The Vault Collective, Civil, Homestyle, and Eno Fine Wines.)
