This Saturday, Spooky Storytime returns to haunt Burnside Park with program partner Kidoinfo! This spooktacular event is fun for all ages, and a great family-friendly, not-so-scary event.
This years theme: THE WONKY WORLD OF ROALD DAHL – with a spooky twist. Art is inspired by “The Witches,” a true fan favorite. Plus, more witchy-themed (but not-so-scary) Halloween fun!
Art in the Park-ists, Alison Paul (co-founder of Spooky Storytime and author + illustrator) and Ricky Katowicz (artist + performer) transform the park with Halloweenie art, not-so-scary stories, and activities.
At Haunted Art in the Park, kids are inspired by the pages of a Halloween-themed book. Afterwards, families boogie down in a costume parade. More for the kids: a hay bale maze to explore, mini pumpkins to adorn, and crisp apples to crunch from our local farmers.
Trick or Treat your way through our Halloween activity tables, join a Costume Parade and Halloweenie Dance Party!
- Spooky Touch + Feel Table…Guess the Guts!
- Identify Anatomy with Ms. Bones!
- FREE face painting with Ratt Scallion Face Painting.
Plus – Brandon’s Beach maritime themed playground is OPEN and a perfect playscape for sailors, sea creatures, and pirates. AHOY!
Kids in costumes get a treat! But no costumes, no problem – if you don’t have one, you can make one there!
