Cinco de Mayo Taco Fest is coming up on Saturday, May 5, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. in Grant’s Block (260 Westminster Street). Full event info, with the list of this year’s food and drink vendors, can be found on our Facebook event page.
Where should I park?
You might be able to find on street parking or there are parking lots close to Grant’s Block. Biltmore Garage is just one block over on Washington Street.
What happens if it rains?
The event takes place rain or shine. If it’s raining, we recommend you dress appropriately! If it’s REALLY bad (like a hurricane or monsoon), we’ll post ASAP about cancellation.
Is the event dog friendly?
Yes, for friendly dogs, but keep in mind it will be crowded.
Will there only be tacos?
Hey, this is Taco Fest! But yes, there will also be hot dogs, fries, empanadas, ice cream, kettle corn, and some other fun surprises. As well as beer, sangrias, margaritas, and more.
Can we drink in the street?
Alcohol consumption is confined to Grant’s Block. Also check out the Margarita Garden at Hotel Providence.
Is the event appropriate for all ages?
Yes! We’ve got a kids’ area with crafts, games, face painting, balloons, bubbles, flower crowns, and more.
What time does it start?
Things kick off at 11 a.m. and go until 6 p.m.

Is it free?
Yes, it’s free to attend! The food and drinks are priced by the vendors.
Do vendors accept cards?
Most do. Never hurts to have some cash on hand.
So there’s a “yard sale” at the event…?
Besides food and drink, you can also browse the Rock & Roll Yardsale adjacent to Grant’s Block. There will be 60+ vendors selling vinyl records, vintage finds, and handmade items. Browse the full list of vendors.
Are there bathrooms?
There are port-a-johns available in Grant’s Block.
