3 Downtown Providence Restaurants to Cater Your Next Party
We’ve put together many a sumptuous feast over the years while hosting. From Labor Day festivities, to family functions, to engagement parties, we always want everyone to eat well. But with all the hustle and bustle and other details that go into a gathering, sometimes it’s nice to not have to worry about the food being on point. That’s where catering comes in! Here are three spots we adore—located in downtown Providence, RI—that offer catering all year round for everything from corporate luncheons to bridal showers.

ELLIE’S

Now that Ellie’s has opened at their new location in downtown Providence, we’re pleased to say they’re also back to catering! Ellie’s is an established cafe and Parisian-style eatery now located at 250 Westminster Street. Their elegant catering menu features pastry platters (buttery croissants galore), quiches, sandwich platters, salads, cakes, various desserts, and more. DURK’S BAR-B-Q

If you cannot get enough of smoked meats but don’t want to fire up the grill, Durk’s Bar-B-Q has your [baby] back [ribs]. (We’re partial to the pulled pork sandwiches and mac and cheese, if we must choose some favorite dishes.) When it comes to brewpubs, there is nothing quite like Providence’s Trinity Brewhouse! This beloved spot crafts their own beers and serves up a delightful array of hearty pub food. (Their 1/2 pound burgers are no joke.) If you are throwing an event with any number of guests—up to 250—and you’re looking for a casual, delicious meal plan, then look no further.
