It’s no secret that we’re wining and dining our way across the city of Providence most nights. (You can probably spot us grabbing drinks at our favorite cocktail bars or heading out to dinner before events like WaterFire.)

With such a vibrant food, art, and hospitality scene in Providence, RI, it’s no wonder there’s a huge crew of service industry staff making it all possible! We are endlessly thankful for the folks working both front of house and back of house… And we’re not the only thankful ones: throughout the year, various restaurants and bars host industry nights, during which they offer discounted drinks (sometimes sponsored), food, and/or activities.

We’ve recently been clued in about two downtown classic spots offering special deals during their recurring industry nights. We’re here to share with you all the details about these industry nights in downtown Providence. (And if you’re not in the hospitality industry, here’s your friendly reminder to tip well and treat staff with kindness!)

TRINITY BREWHOUSE

If you’re a staff member in the local hospitality industry and you’re into stouts, lagers, pale ales, and the plethora of beers in this world, then look no further than Trinity Brewhouse. Each Wednesday, Trinity hosts an industry night downstairs in the pub section—only—of the restaurant. The event begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 1 a.m., with a DJ beginning their set at 9 p.m. Industry workers can receive their food and drinks for 50% off by showing a recent paystub. Raise a glass to a night out and a night off (and let us know what your favorite Trinity beer on tap is by tagging @indowncitypvd on Instagram)!

THE BOOMBOX

Feel the music in your soul? Just a few blocks away from Trinity, The Boombox hosts a boisterous industry night on the last Monday of the month. Head to their location within The Dean Hotel for free karaoke in the lounge area, 20% off cocktails, half-priced private karaoke rooms, and more for those who work in hospitality. Head to The Boombox for their next industry nights on Monday, September 25 and Monday, October 30 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. (Psssst- we hear that October 30 will be a Halloween party so prepare to get spooky!) The Boombox is also open to non-industry patrons on these nights.
