For the first time since 2018, the Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale is back on Westminster Street for a free, fun, family-friendly event in downtown Providence, RI!

(Pssst- looking for the details about the 2024 event? Here you go!)

The Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale is headed to Westminster Street once again! Join us on May 6, 2023 from 12-6 p.m. while we welcome this well curated mix of vendors to Westminster between Eddy Street and Clemence Street–and at the adjacent Grant’s Block. This year’s vibrant lineup of local businesses includes food trucks; over 25 vinyl, vintage, and DIY craft vendors; face painting by Kara Andrew of Art on the Spot; and craft beverages. DJ Studebaker Hawk will be providing the tunes all day!

The Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale–founded in 2003 by Chris and Jennifer Daltry–has partnered with InDowncity previously for a number of events. 2023 marks the Daltry’s 20th year running their pop-up events; they’ve organized a variety of large-scale marketplaces across Rhode Island and Massachusetts featuring local independent vendors offering an eclectic mix of vinyl records, vintage, and DIY handmade goods.

“After experimenting with a few alternate Rhode Island locations, both indoors and out,” says Chris, “we finally found the perfect partnership with InDowncity, and so began a successful run of May events at Grant’s Block on Westminster Street in Providence. This spring, we’re excited to usher in Providence's outdoor event season together.”

FOOD AND DRINK VENDORS

As our vendor list comes together, we could not be more excited! First off, you’ll find this stellar food truck lineup on Westminster Street: A Mano Pizza and Gelato, Wiener Wagon, Ming’s, Cultro, and Spanglish. Beverages will be served at Grant’s Block by Long Live Beerworks and RI Cruisin’ Cocktails (we hear they’ll be slinging cocktails inspired by women in music). Outdoors on Union Street, stop by Oberlin for meatball sliders and other tasty bites!

In case of inclement weather, the rain date for the marketplace portion (only) is May 13.
